We are delighted to welcome Michael Leonard to the Nguyen Lab as our first Professional Research Assistant! Michael completed his undergraduate training at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he studied plant-fungi interactions in the lab of Dr. Kelly Lyons.
Michael will be spearheading our work investigating how gene requirements change across species. We are thrilled to have him on board and look forward to the discoveries ahead!

The lab spent the day at the beautiful University of Colorado Boulder campus for the Front Range Cytoskeleton Meeting. Michael presented his latest research, and everyone enjoyed a day of great science, catching up with colleagues, and representing the lab. It was a fun day all around!!
